Stanley Kubrick’s Lost Film Ready for Blu-Ray Release
Fear and Desire has achieved legendary status over the years as the movie that Kubrick didn’t want anybody to see.
It was his first foray into film-making and urban-legend dictates that at one point in his life he actively sought to purchase every print of the film and burn them.
Little did Kubrick know that a recently discovered negative of the film (found in a Puerto Rican laboratory) would herald the re-release of the movie on Blu-Ray.
Fear and Desire, however, never had its copyright renewed; because of this it’s freely available to watch on YouTube anyway now.
